Peter Parker’s life was changed forever when he was bitten by a radioactive spider. His blood coursing with the strange effects of that radiation, he finds he has gained the proportionate strength and agility of a spider. Armed with web-shooters of his own design, Peter Parker became the Spectacular Spider-Man. Because one Spider-Man title was not enough, in 1976, Marvel launched Peter Parker, the Spectacular Spider-Man (its title was later shortened to its present form). Although not quite as popular as The Amazing Spider-Man, this title has brought us a number of Spidey’s greatest adventures, including parts of the legendary “Death of Kraven” saga, and the first appearance of Cloak & Dagger.
