Archie Andrews is an American icon. For over sixty years, he and his perpetually teenaged supporting cast have been entertaining children of all ages. Created by artist Bob Montana, Archie was first introduced in Pep #22 in 1941. He received his own series shortly afterward. After over four hundred issues, Archie, blonde-haired Betty, rich girl Veronica, dense-but-lovable Jughead, oxlike Moose, and the crafty Reggie are still getting into trouble and having laughs at Riverdale High School. Naturally, a series with this sort of long-term appeal was bound to result in numerous spinoff titles. Among them are Betty and Veronica, Archie and Me, Archie Digest Magazine, Archie’s Date Book, Reggie, and even The Punisher Meets Archie. All feature the Riverdale teens in adventures suitable for even the youngest readers.
