Lady Death sees through Purgatori's ruse (she is disguised as LD's mother) and stops her from getting close enough to drink her blood; Purgatori resurrects Cremator and forces him to create a sword that will release Lucifer from Lady Death's body; Lady Death and Purgatori battle but, when Purgatori stabs her with her new sword, she discovers that Lucifer's essence is not trapped inside of Lady Death and never was.
